Number 9, number 9

Happy birthday to my big boy S. You wear me out, darling child.

But I am glad you got a Wii game and Legos and soccer cleats and a crystal growing set and a whipped cream cake and mint chip ice cream and Rice Krispy treats to hand out in class. I hope your 9th birthday was great for you.

You are great for me - my first baby, the boy who made my dreams come true and turned me into a mother.

I'm so proud of the way you are growing up.

  2. Hi Ana,

This is your Uncle Joe. I am now in the blogosphere, thanks to Valerie and James who helped me set up by blog.

Rachel listed your blog for me.

It's hard to believe that Sam is 9 years old. He shares a birthday with Taylor, James' daughter, who was 10. He's a handsome boy. Is he big for his age? I remember he was a big baby. I am sorry that we have not been able to keep up with your growing family and your re-location to Merced. We have the Reader's Digest version through Grandma's letters. It's too bad that the University doesn't offer Glenny a position. After all, he was a pioneering (first?) graduate student there.

I'm sorry we weren't able to connect with you and the children last week. We had a nice, quiet and relaxing visit with Grandma.
We did get to meet Zora. She's a beautiful baby and I'm so glad she fully recovered from her Dramamine accident.

Sorry for writing such a long comment. I don't have your email address. Please sent it to me. Ours is jrsjva@yahoo.com
